• Maximum participation with 40 registered in the first stop of the Catalan Skateboarding league

  • The start of the league was in the street category and we were able to see many familiar faces from Extreme Barcelona

This Saturday the first stop of the Catalan skateboarding league was held at the Quim Monter skatepark, in Manresa. Like every year we have been able to enjoy the best riding of the skaters in Catalonia. A level that has meant that some of the skaters who previously participated in the under 16 category have gone on to compete with the seniors. The little ones have shown the great evolution that skateboarding is having.

The riders had 45-second rounds in which they demonstrated their best tricks in all the modules of the park. The competition had judges of the highest level and experience, the current Catalan street champion Christian Sanchez, Pau Vilaseca, legendary skater creator of the Eina skateboard brand and Marc Gómez, skate instructor in Manresa.

In the absolute category, the first was Vladi Bojan rider from És skateboarding, second Isma Maestre and third Nico Bustos who competes for Sabor a Calle. The first classified in the female under 16 category were Arlet Pla, in second position Yaiza Clavijo and in third Mercè Alsina. The riders who climbed to the sub 16 podium were Gael Quintana in first position, Nil Pla in second and Pol Vilaseca in third.

Remind you that the first three at the end of the league win a wildcard for Extreme Barcelona 2024, which will be held from September 13 to 15 at the Parc del Fòrum.
