The day was marked by the roar of an audience that packed the stands both in Central Park and in the Street Plaza during the first finals of BMX, Skate and Scooter, and no wonder, since very valuable points were at stake for the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024, so the level was very high and the great competitiveness was breathed in each round.

The 15th Anniversary of Extreme Barcelona was full of people who did not want to miss the opportunity to discover Breaking, a new Olympic sport in Paris 2024. More than 100 athletes of all categories were present: Bboy, Bgirl, Bboy and Under 21 where Bboy Amor got the victory, Bgirl Youth category won by Bgirl Miniali, Kids and Junior with Bboy Samuel as winner. The great favourite BGirl Lola was crowned as the winner of the Spanish Breaking Championship, as well as the place to participate in the World Championship in Belgium.

In addition to the silver medal, the Spaniard went home with the first place in the Spanish Freestyle BMX Women’s Championship, getting closer and closer to her dream of participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The crowd’s favourite final was undoubtedly the Skate Men. As the sky darkened and the park was illuminated by floodlights, the elite of skateboarding, the flagship sport of the city of Barcelona, challenged each other in an incredible competition in which the audience couldn’t help but get excited after each round of impressive tricks. Danny León, although he did not step on the podium, was undoubtedly the one who conquered the hearts of the fans, acclaimed by a devoted audience who cheered him on time and time again with a final trick that he managed to perform successfully after several attempts, and the audience celebrated in style. Those who did make the podium were Vilem Jakes for gold, Lenni Pfeiffer for silver and Alex Decunha for bronze.

The day ended with the Scooter Street men’s final late in the evening with many professionals taking part, including former champions and new legends. Jonathan Perroni was proclaimed champion, followed by Hugo Strauss and completed the podium Matis Neyround, whose names are already familiar to us from previous editions. Saturday’s day ended with a farewell to a crowd that was enthusiastic until the very last moment.

This Sunday afternoon the finals of Scootering women, BMX men, ParaBMX and Skateboarding woman will take place.
