• The search for the best riders in Catalonia who deserve a place in the Extreme Barcelona continues.

After an exciting start in Tarragona on 29 April, the Catalan urban sports circuit is preparing to continue its journey. EsportCat Extreme, which is supported by the Secretaria de l’Esport i l’Activitat Física, returns with even more action and competition this year.

The event, which brings together the best riders in the Skate, Scooter and BMX Street disciplines, aims to provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and earn a place to compete in the prestigious Extreme Barcelona, which celebrates its 15th anniversary.
The second stop of the EsportCat Extreme promises to be in Palau Solità i Plegamans on 20 May. The riders will compete in the local Skatepark, displaying their best tricks and demonstrating their mastery of the different disciplines. There will be 450€ in prizes to be distributed in each modality and the schedules will be as follows

SCOOTER 10:00h – 13:00h
BMX 13:00h – 15:00h
SKATE 16:00h – 20:00h

As for the Skate and Scooter modalities, the EsportCat Extreme events will be part of the Catalan championship of both disciplines, supported by the Catalan Skating Federation. That is why the inscriptions to participate must be made online at the following link.

The four most outstanding participants in Scooter and Skate will get a direct pass to compete in Extreme Barcelona. In addition, the three best classified in each modality will have the opportunity to participate in the Spanish championships of these disciplines.

The BMX Street Competition will have a format called “cash4tricks“, and will be open to all ages. Registration for this format will take place on the day of the event at the Skatepark. Participants will compete in 20-minute rounds in 4 different spots, where the best tricks will be rewarded with cash. The three best BMX Street riders will get a place to compete in the Extreme Barcelona.

This year the main objective of the EsportCat Extreme is to continue to promote the practice of urban sport and to overcome the more than 50 participants at each stop and offer the opportunity to all riders of the Catalan territory to participate in one of the biggest events in southern Europe.
