The EsportCat Extreme circuit is looking for the best athletes in the territory to participate in Extreme Barcelona
Nacho Climent, Izan Mendieta and Mohamed Bensliman crowned champions in Tarragona Francolí
Esportcat Extreme 2023 kicked off with an exciting first stop at the Tarragona Francolí Skatepark. 40 Catalan riders took part in this second edition of the circuit in the three modalities: Skate Scooter and BMX. A day marked by the sun and the good atmosphere that ended with 3 names of their own: Nacho Climent (Skate), Izan Mendieta (Scooter) and Mohamed Bensliman (BMX).
EsportCat Extreme has the support of the Secretaria de l’Esport i l’Activitat Física and the collaboration of the Federació Catalana de Patinatge and the Federació Catalana de Ciclisme.
The FCP has included these stops in its competition agenda, in the skateboarding modality it was a real duel between some of the best skateboarders of the Catalan territory. Big names gathered at this first stop of the qualifier for the Extreme Barcelona but the victory stayed at home. Local skateboarder Nacho Climent took the win in a tight final against Cristian Sanchez. Climent flowed like nobody’s business in the park and skated solidly and finely to take first place, while Marc Segura completed the podium.
Meanwhile, in the scooter category, Izan Mendieta, a familiar figure from the last edition, demonstrated his great skill and creativity in the rounds and best tricks, which allowed him to take the victory at this first stop. Adés Andres and Alex Perez joined him on the podium.
Finally in BMX, where the cash 4 tricks format was a success once again, as it allows everyone to win small prizes by ironing out tricks. Mohamed Bensliman shined with his technique, dominating each and every spot in the skatepark. Fernando Castillo and a triple tie between Eric Rodriguez, Pol Palau and Pau Sala completed the podium.
The next stop of the Esportcat Extreme 2023 will be on May 20th in Palau Solità i Plegamans, where the riders will have a new opportunity to show their skills and get their qualification for the Extreme Barcelona. Don’t miss it!
