The countdown has started, there are just two weeks left for the return of Extreme Barcelona at Parc del Fòrum and we want to share you the last details about the venues. Barcelona will host the best international competitions and open of skateboarding, BMX and scooter and at the Central Park and Skate Plaza.

Central Park will be the epicenter of the event in terms of competitions, with the participation of athletes and Olympic medalists such as Daniel Dhers and Nick Bruce. The public will be able to enjoy the best sporting show in a very complete Central Park, with many creative variants to be able to use its modules and dimensions worthy of a world championship.

This stage will occupy a 40 x 24 m space delimited by large quarter pipes up to 4.5 meters high. Competing riders will be able to showcase their best tricks thanks to a structure designed to offer the best of shows: one side will be dominated by the big wallride and the other by a new large quarter to bank. Finally, the central area of Auditorium 1 will be capitalized by a large number of funboxes and spins, dominated by the large funbox with the Extreme Barcelona logo.

The second major installation of Extreme will be the Skate Plaza, located in Auditorium 2 of the park. In an area of 42 x 13 meters, the best riders in the world of scooter, street and skate will offer the most spectacular tricks thanks to the large number of modules for all tastes and styles that this space will offer. It will consist of a central structure with two large kinks rails, a euro-gap and two large handrails. This large deployment of handrails will be complemented by an A-frame ledge, a box and a flat handrail, and all of it delimited at two of its ends by the well-known quarter pipes, used by athletes to gain speed.

New developments in the commitment to urban culture

Apart from being one of the main epicenters of urban sports worldwide, Extreme Barcelona will focus on urban culture, one of the great novelties in this eleventh edition. On 25th and 26th of september the urban sports and culture will be the protagonists.

Extreme will offer a showcase for urban art with the conversion of a space into an avenue where 100% local artists can share their passion, spray paint. In this way, the Wallspot Avenues is a call to all those graffiti artists of different styles and personalities who want to express their creativity and show their best designs in a liveshow with recyclable supports. This will be a sustainable event committed to the environment, thanks to the sponsor of this new space, Fritz-Kola, one of the best soft drinks in Europe, manufactured in the north of Germany and marketed in several countries of the European Union.

Music will also be the protagonist beyond the music stage and will jump into the Central Park and Skate Plaza during the breaks between sports competitions under the Flex Moments (a 15-minute showcase led by local urban music artists) and through different freestyle battles that will close the event as it deserves.
