The 2021 EXTREME BARCELONA is proud to present the ACTION SPACE Megaramp – World’s Best Trick Contest, licensed from and produced by ScootFest. This is where the world’s elite professional BMX and Scooter riders will compete to win the World’s Best Trick Contest within their own discipline, and compete to become the overall titleholder of the ACTION SPACE Megaramp – World’s Best Trick Contest.
We wanted the 11th edition of EXTREME BARCELONA to be beyond anything you have ever seen before, which is which why we have included the ACTION SPACE Megaramp – World’s Best Trick Contest. This ensures that you’ll see professional BMX and Scooter riders performing nerve-racking tricks such as the Triple Backflip, Triple Frontflip, or Triple Tailwhip Barspin.
The ACTION SPACE Megaramp – World’s Best Trick Contest will take place on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26, 2021. The finals will take place on Sunday, September 26, right after the last finals in the Central Park.
Mat Hoffman was the forerunner of the big jumps
The first megaramp in history was performed by Mat Hoffman in his own garden in Oklahoma in mid-1991. It measured 6.3 meters.
Two historic milestones in action sports were set by Danny Way: when he jumped from the Great Wall of China in 2005, and when he set a record 24-meter mega ramp jump during the 2004 edition of the XGames.
