This high school student from A Coruña spends her hours glued to a skateboard since it is her passion, and for which she works every day to make it her profession. He comments, with great maturity and humility, despite his precociousness: “For me it is still quite a hobby. If I take it seriously, it overwhelms me a bit. I do it to have fun, and whatever I get, great, welcome, but the main objective is to enjoy. I do not want to see it as an obligation. If not, I do not see the sense “
Very grateful to her older brother, Julia has commented on occasion that she wanted to learn from seeing her older brother, that when he wasn’t surfing because there were no waves, he skated with his skateboard. After a third place in the world championships in Qatar, it is not that she travels on the crest of the wave, she is the wave herself at the moment. During those same World Cups he competed alongside his current teammates Jaime Mateu and Danny León.
For many, the king of transfers and footplants
This boy started skating when he was just 12 years old in the park, where he got a real crush on the ramps. With a continuous progression Jaime has evolved his riding, -in recent years an outrage becoming what is for many the king of transfers and footplants.
Today he is already champion of the Red Bull Bowl Rippers, a final classification as 4th place in the Skate World Championship and several podiums in the World Cup Skateboarding. Currently his next big goal is to get a medal.
The highest exponent in its category, the Park
And finally we have Danny León from Madrid who is the greatest exponent of Spain in his category, the park.
Danny began his walks like all the kids who start in the world, noticing the older ones in the park. Thanks to the construction of a Skatepark in the vicinity of his neighborhood (Móstoles), he felt the call, that call that only those of us who love this sport feel. And it took off …
He has made podiums in the main events related to Skate championships such as Extreme Barcelona, FISE, Far N High, Back To The Streets, Sosh Freestyle Cup, Mystic Sk8 Cup, NASS, Red Bull Roller Coaster, O’Marisquiño … Where in many cases he has risen with victory.
It is clear that from Spain we do not send many, but they are the best. From Extreme Barcelona we wish you the best of luck so that you all feel the glory, and bring a medal home.
