- The most historic clubs in Barcelona and Catalonia will make the leap to a fast and spectacular format from September 4 to 6 at Parc del Fòrum.
Catalan youth football is gearing up for an unprecedented transformation. On September 4, 5, and 6, Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum will host a brand-new concept: the 3×3 URBAN BCN. This three-on-three football tournament will bring the most representative and historic clubs from Barcelona’s districts and all of Catalonia into the action sports universe.
The competition will be part of the 18th Anniversary of Extreme Barcelona, one of Europe’s premier urban sports festivals, which is introducing street football as one of the major highlights of this year’s lineup.
Backed by the Johan Cruyff Foundation and the Barcelona City Council, this project aims to establish itself as an annual benchmark event for grassroots football in the region.

A Dynamic Format with a Neighborhood Essence
The 3×3 URBAN BCN captures the spirit of traditional street football and adapts it to a modern, fast-paced, and highly visual format. It is not just about competing; it is about providing a space where younger generations can experience the sport from a fresh perspective, sharing three days of excitement, synergy, and passion for the game.
The organization has designed this tournament around several key goals:
-
Bringing history and the future together: Uniting the most historic and traditional clubs from the Barcelonès region and Catalonia in a cutting-edge environment.
-
Reviving the romance of the game: Bringing back the spotlight to the great neighborhood and youth tournaments that shaped entire generations.
-
Fostering strong values: Focusing on respect, coexistence, inclusion, and fair play both on and off the pitch.

The tournament is open to both boys’ and girls’ teams in the Benjamín and Alevín divisions. The specific age categories will be:
-
