Two weekends of pure adrenaline in El Prat de Llobregat and Igualada demonstrate the extremely high technical level and great potential of young talent in the region.
The urban sports scene in Catalonia has experienced a high-intensity fortnight. The celebration of the Catalonia Street and Vert Championships —organized by the Federació Catalana de Patinatge through its skateboarding, scootering, and roller freestyle committees—, combined with the spectacular UWS Igualada Bikeparadise Comp 2026, made it clear that the local scene knows no limits.
Together, both events have served to confirm the excellent health of these disciplines, the rise in the participants’ technical level, and the consolidation of the new generations of athletes.

Street and Vert in El Prat: talent and creativity on the ramps
The El Prat de Llobregat Skatepark became the epicenter of the action with the Street and Vert modalities. Integrated within the framework of Patinafest Catalunya, the competition offered a top-tier show in the Under-16 and Absolute categories. The athletes showed spectacular progression, surprising the judges with runs full of creativity, fluidity, and high-difficulty tricks.
UWS Igualada Bikeparadise: the capital of international BMX
Meanwhile, the previous weekend was Igualada’s turn, hosting a new edition of the UWS Igualada Bikeparadise Comp 2026. One of the country’s benchmark skateparks was transformed into the meeting point for the action sports community, gathering some of the best BMX riders from the national and international scene in the Park modality.
This stop highlighted the success of the joint effort between clubs, federations, and organizers to keep promoting events that serve as a springboard for the future promises of urban cycling.
