  • Barcelona is getting ready for the Freestyle Trampoline World Championships.

  • From 13 to 15 September, the best jumpers on the planet will gather in the Parc del Fòrum to conquer the 2024 world champion title.

Extreme Barcelona, the city’s most emblematic urban sports festival, celebrates its 15th edition with a great news: the incorporation of Freestyle Trampoline as a new official sport at the event.

For three days, the Parc del Fòrum will be transformed into the epicentre of this exciting discipline, where athletes from more than 15 countries will compete for glory.

A unique and challenging show:
Freestyle Trampoline is a discipline that combines technique, endurance, creativity and years of training. Athletes perform acrobatic routines on a trampoline, defying gravity with flips, spins and moves that take the audience’s breath away.

The competition will bring together the best jumpers on the planet, who will test their skills and seek to be crowned as a world champions. An international team of judges will evaluate each routine based on difficulty, execution and creativity.

We are very excited about the addition of Freestyle Trampoline to our flagship event, Extreme Barcelona, especially because this championship represents the most important event of the year for the trampoline community. We are convinced that the format and sporting essence of the FTA World Championships fits perfectly with the other urban sports that we offer at our event, and that the spectators in Barcelona will be delighted by the demonstrations of the best freestyle trampoline athletes in the world. Toni Alvarez – Extreme Barcelona Sport Director.

The Freestyle Trampoline Association (FTA) and Urban World Series are teaming up to bring the World Championships of this exciting discipline to Barcelona for the first time.
FTA is a non-profit organisation made up of individuals and athletes who are passionate about trampolining, especially freestyle trampolining. Its aim is to promote and develop the sport internationally.

Trampoline, with its origins in the 1940s, experienced a boom in the 1960s with the first World Championships. After some ups and downs, in 2000 it was included in the Olympic Games thanks to the work of figures such as George Nissen, inventor of the modern trampoline. Freestyle Trampoline goes beyond traditional trampolining, exploring a wide range of challenging physical skills and combining them with a creative element that makes it unique.

We are very excited to be welcomed into the action sports family with Extreme Barcelona, as we feel it is a perfect fit for this event and to showcase the outstanding talents of our young athletes and past Champions.
