• The 15th anniversary of Extreme Barcelona is the perfect setting for the final of the young promises

  • Hot Wheels reinforces commitment to fostering talent among youngsters in street sports territory

The Hot Wheels competition together with Urban World Series will have its champions at Extreme Barcelona. Hot Wheels Superchargers promotes talent among the youngest to find the best junior riders between 6 and 14 years old in Skate, BMX and Scooter and the new promises of Breaking in Spain.

The first stop on the calendar was at the Andalucia Urban last May in the Cable Inglés area of Almería and the second stop was at the Madrid Urban Sports last June on the esplanade of Madrid Río. Now, the top five finishers from Almeria and Madrid in each category will compete in the grand final that will take place on the 15th anniversary of Extreme Barcelona, on the 15th, 16th and 17th of September in the Parc del Fòrum.

By promoting this competition, Hot Wheels reinforces its commitment to promote talent among young people in the field of urban sports. In this 15th anniversary of Extreme Barcelona there will be competitions in 5 Olympic urban sports and it becomes an ideal scenario for the youngest to compete on the same ground that the best international athletes will tread and they can be inspired to continue practicing and to pursue the dream of becoming, in the future, Olympic champions.

The Mattel brand left its mark in both Andalucía Urban and Madrid Urban Sports where the public could enjoy the best junior talent in BMX, Skate, Scooter and Breaking and gave a show worthy of the great promises of urban sports. In the Almería Skate competition Irati García Perez stood out, in Scooter Harriet Portugal, Bastian Brey and David Salido and in BMX it was Javitxu de la Torre, Pau Sala and Fernando García.

In the Madrid Urban Sports, the most outstanding talents were in Breaking Bgirl Miniali, Bboy Samuel, Bbyoy Ryu and Bboy Lukas. In Junior BMX the winners were Javitxu de la Torre, Pau Sala and Fernando García. In Skate Adam Bensalah, Unai Cano and Álvaro Mónaco left the audience breathless. Now, the best come to Barcelona in an event with more sports, more activities and more extreme competitions than ever before, where the public can enjoy not only the best international athletes but also these new promises of Urban Sports from Hot Wheels.

The upcoming HotWheels Superchargers Extreme Barcelona final promises to open doors for these talents in a sport that is gaining momentum and will be the new protagonists of the Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
