Moovit joins Extreme Barcelona as a partner to indicate the easiest route by public transport
Barcelona – 12 September 2022 – Moovit, an Intel company, a leading provider of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions and the world’s most widely used urban mobility app, reinforces its commitment to simple and accessible intermodality in the field of urban sports by bringing the Extreme Barcelona event to locals and visitors through its app.
The mobility application presents flexible solutions, with automated and updated responses at all times to facilitate the user’s movement through the city. Moovit, thus becomes the official mobility application of Extreme Barcelona offering all possible routes and services: metro, tram, bus, bicycle and bike and motorcycle sharing services to reach the Parc del Fòrum.
The use of personal mobility vehicles (PMVs), which has burst into the urban space of so many cities, is mainly composed of low-speed, small and light means of transport that run on electric power and are typically used for short-distance trips.
In this 12th edition, Extreme Barcelona becomes a city event with its new free entry format promoting culture and urban sport throughout the city. This collaboration was born with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility in the city of Barcelona among young people.
