● ImaginExtreme Barcelona returns on Sunday with a day full of finals.

Barcelona, 6 November 2020
This Friday, imaginExtreme Barcelona 2020 kicked off with one of the highlights: the Street skateboarding finals at the Barcelona Street Plaza. Some competitions have been brought forward to Friday due to the forecast of heavy storms for Saturday.

The weather was not the best to compete today, with a cloudy sky and strong winds seemed to be able to harm the competition, but the Forum Park has been the scene of a great spectacle.

The Portuguese skaters dominated the session, with the victory of Bruno Senra who was the strongest skater with a high level round and played great tricks. Madrid skater Danny León has offered a great show with his best ramp tricks. Jorge Simoes, Senra’s compatriot, closed the podium with a day of very technical tricks.

The MVT (most valuable trick) of the day by Seat MÓ in the men’s category was for Gustavo Ribeiro with a crooked backside on the kink rail, the most complex module in the park.

Charlotte Hym clear winner in women’s category

Charlotte Hym has taken an overwhelming victory in women’s skateboarding. The French skater was also the winner of the MVT by Seat MÓ. Local skater Daniela Terol has returned to the podium of imaginExtreme Barcelona, showing a great level and evolution in her grind tricks. Camila Ruiz has slipped for the first time on a podium of imaginExtreme Barcelona with a very solid round.

Mar Barrera, Barcelona skater and winner in 2019 at WRG Barcelona, was injured during training and could not participate in the final.

Spanish Scooter Champions

The Spanish Street and Park Scooter Championships were held throughout the morning.
In Catalunya Central Park, the competition was very close, until Ruben Dòniga came out to do a brutal round, which gave him the first position. He was followed by Diego Puche and Rafa de la Vall to close the podium.
The semifinals and finals of the Spanish Street Scooter Championship were held at the Barcelona Street Plaza, where Guifré Obradors took the victory after a great round, followed by Edu Cortés and Pol Roman.

All qualifiers for the Street and Park finals have also secured a place in Sunday’s international scooter semi-finals.

Marina Lopez, the only female scooter rider, has won the championship.
