Hot Wheels, the legendary miniature car brand launched by Mattel in 1968, continues to embrace the next generation and the future of urban sports thanks to its Hot Wheels Superchargers program. In 2025, this initiative, which promotes young talent between the ages of 6 and 16, celebrates its fifth anniversary alongside the Urban World Series, consolidating a key partnership for the growth of skateboarding, scootering, and BMX in Spain and Portugal.
Over the years, renowned urban sports figures have supported the project, becoming role models for participants. Notable among them are Spanish Olympic skateboarder Danny León, Tokyo 2020 Olympic BMX silver medalist Daniel Dehrs, and Street Scootering World Champion Jonathan Perroni.
Since its launch in 2021, more than 350 riders have competed in the 30 competitions organized within the framework of Hot Wheels Superchargers and the Urban World Series. To date, these promising young athletes have won around 90 medals, some of them at the prestigious Extreme Barcelona, which will once again feature junior competitions in skateboarding, scooters, and BMX this year.

In addition to the junior competition, Hot Wheels and Urban World Series are strengthening the visibility of these future talents with the Riding for a Dream project, a series of video interviews in which winners and medalists from previous editions share their experiences and developments within the program. This season, the stars are:
Jan de la Romana – Scooter (ESP), 3rd at the 2024 Porto Street Cup and 2nd at Extreme Barcelona 2022.
Nil Pla – Skate (ESP), 3rd at Extreme Barcelona 2024.
Darío de la Fuente – BMX (ESP), 3rd at Extreme Barcelona 2024.
Laia de la Romana – Scooter (ESP), 4th at the 2024 Porto Street Cup.
Bereket F. De Cuevas – Skate (ESP), 2nd at Extreme Barcelona 2024.
With this platform, Hot Wheels Superchargers and Urban World Series offer young talents the opportunity to showcase their skills on a demanding stage, where adrenaline and spectacle are guaranteed.
