Nikita Ducarroz and Kieran Reilly were two of the names to watch at the 16th edition of Extreme Barcelona and both lived up to expectations. Two of the biggest stars of BMX triumphed in Central Park, taking home the gold medal in the men’s and women’s categories in front of hundreds of people who were thrilled by the spectacle.
The first to take a taste of glory was the Swiss biker, who, after scoring 87.33, beat the Germans Lara Lessmann (85.67) and Kim Lea Mueller (85.33).
The men’s final was also very close, with Kieran Reilly (94.83) winning gold by beating his British compatriot Jude Jones (91.5) and Costa Rican Kenneth Tencio (89.67).
