SKATEBOARDING
Skateboarding has always been one of the pillars of Extreme Barcelona, present since the first edition in 2008. A world-class competition, the event boasts facilities that have seen some of the sport’s greatest talents compete.
More than 100 international and national skaters will gather at Street Plaza from September 5-7 to fight for the gold medal in the three official competition categories: Men’s, Women’s, and Junior.
A 40×15-meter skate plaza built especially for the occasion will be the battleground to crown the new Extreme Barcelona champions.
Spanish skateboarding was the dominant force in the women’s competition, as two of the three podium finishers from the previous edition were homegrown talents. Natalia Muñoz, Valentina Krauel, and Ivet Terol took home the gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively. While European skaters shone in the women’s category, South America stood out in the men’s: Argentine Mauro Iglesias claimed the gold medal, while Max Berguin and Richard Tury won silver and bronze.
Once again, the junior competition will take place under the Hot Wheels Superchargers banner, aiming to discover and promote young talents on the board. Bereket F. De Cuevas won the gold medal last year, finishing ahead of Rafi-Andreas Haerbos and Kayden Hawson.
Extreme Barcelona will be skater territory in 2026!
