
Freestyle trampoline once again took center stage at Extreme Barcelona, which this year celebrated its 17th edition at the Parc del Fòrum. For the second time, the city hosted the World Championship of the discipline, one of the most spectacular events in the urban sports universe, crowning its new champions.
In the men’s senior category, Austrian Evan Rocha was crowned world champion, dethroning Swiss Robin Steiner, who this time had to settle for bronze. The silver medal went to Germany’s Niklas Distler, completing a podium of the highest level.
In the women’s category, the spotlight was on Viktoria Derschewizki, who took the gold in a final of exceptional quality. Last year’s champion, Maria Petrunicheva, finished second, while Marlene Metzger claimed third place.
In the junior category, the new world champion is Mio Grane, who shone with a flawless routine. Catalan Xavier Planas took the silver medal, while Norway’s Sigve Bergan earned bronze.
