Forecasts for the weekend are good and the finals schedules are maintained

Extreme Barcelona got off to a great start on Friday morning with a first day that filled the stands with spectators eager to see the first qualifying competitions.

The youngsters who came to the Fòrum were able to try out the mini-ramps and the open park by doing their first tricks on the scooters in the Markets area, Foodtrucks and activities guided by the monitors.

The rain has been present at noon, which has prevented to continue with the planned evolution of competitions in the afternoon but the Extreme Barcelona will relocate the semifinals and finals on Saturday and Sunday. In this way the athletes will be able to compete in the pending competitions and continue with the scheduled calendar.
The weather forecasts are predicting an improvement in the weather throughout the weekend, so visitors will be able to enjoy an action-packed calendar full of sporting competitions and free activities revolving around urban culture.

The first qualifiers were those of BMX Women, one of the categories with the highest level of this 15th anniversary, as in this UCI C1 circuit very important points are awarded for the Paris 2023 Olympics. This qualifier was followed in the street plaza by the Scootering Junior Semifinal and Scootering Women Semifinal.

On Saturday, Central Park and the Street Plaza will host the Scootering, BMX and Skateboarding competitions, adjusting to the timetable after the suspension of Friday afternoon’s events. The finals and special competitions such as the Fernando Park Battle, the freestyle battle and the Para BMX Street championship will remain on the same schedule.

The Spanish Breaking Championship competition will also be held on Saturday afternoon, as well as the activities planned for the CaixaBank Plaza 3×3, the tents and all the activations designed for the public to enjoy the event and the outdoor sport.
