Barcelona’s most extreme weekend ended on a high note at the Parc del Fòrum.
SATURDAY: A MEMORABLE DAY
After a Friday full of training sessions and the first qualifying rounds, Extreme Barcelona 2025 experienced an adrenaline-fueled day this Saturday at the Parc del Fòrum, where thousands of fans once again filled the stands and created a vibrant atmosphere to enjoy the first skate, scooter, and BMX finals.
Skateboarding with an Olympic essence
Street Plaza was the stage for two highly anticipated finals. In the women’s category, Olympian Natalia Muñoz took the victory, beating 2024 champion Valentina Krauel, who finished second, and Ivet Terol, who completed the podium.
“I’m very happy with the victory; thanks to my mentality, I was able to overcome my challenges and reach the podium in the best possible way. Extreme Barcelona was one of my first competitions, and I hope to return next year,” said Muñoz after winning the title.
In the men’s event, Argentine Mauro Iglesias delivered an impeccable performance, taking the title with 172.34 points, ahead of Frenchman Max Berguin and Slovakian Richard Tury.
BMX: National Titles and the Best International Talent
Central Park hosted the Spanish BMX Championships, which crowned Saul Vilar as champion in the men’s category and Teresa Fernández-Miranda in the women’s. In the Junior Hot Wheels Superchargers competition, Izan de la Fuente took the top spot, accompanied by Darío de la Fuente and Daniel Pedroche.
Later in the afternoon, the action returned to Street Plaza with the international final, where Nicaraguan resident Eduardo Rodríguez shined with an impeccable routine. Frenchman Anthony Perrin and German Fernando Laczko completed a top-level podium.
Scooter, a spectacle on wheels
The day also produced some great moments at the Gizmania Scooter Street Final, with victory for Frenchman Auguste Pellaud, followed by Swiss Matis Neyroud. Third place was shared by Spaniard Guifré Obradors and Estonian Roomet Saalik, who achieved the same score.
On Sunday, the scooter will shine again with the Park Final and the Chilli Fernando Park Battle, a tribute to the pioneer of scootering in Spain, Fernando Pérez-Mañanet.
