• Extreme Barcelona, one of the major events on the international urban sports calendar, is just around the corner. On September 4, 5, and 6, Parc del Fòrum will once again host a weekend packed with competitions, entertainment, and the world’s best riders. Among the highlighted disciplines, Scootering Park Women makes its comeback to the program after 3 years.

The Scootering Park Women competition will take place in the Central Park (Auditorium 1 at Parc del Fòrum). The event returns with a very high international level, featuring some of the best riders on the global scene.

Confirmed participants include American Beca Ortiz, world champion in 2022, and Australian Emily Gibson. In a recent interview, the Australian rider highlighted how special it is for her to return to Extreme Barcelona, recalling that in 2019 she was one of the first women to compete in an international event in the city. Gibson stressed that returning to Barcelona now brings her great excitement and pride, at a venue she considers key to her sporting career. Both riders arrive ready to fight for the top spots and elevate the competition’s level.

Scootering Park Women Schedule

The Scootering Park Women competition will unfold throughout the weekend with a format combining qualifiers and the grand final. The action kicks off on Saturday, September 5, with the qualifiers from 10:30 to 11:30, determining which participants advance to the decisive phase. Finally, on Sunday, September 6, the grand final will take place from 12:30 to 13:30, crowning this edition’s winner.

Scootering at Extreme Barcelona

The scooter lineup is completed by Scootering Park Men, Street Men, and the Fernando Park Battle. The latter, a Best Tricks competition, pays tribute to Fernando Pérez-Mañanet, a pioneer of scootering in Spain and a key figure in the sport’s national development.

With the return of Scootering Park Women, Extreme Barcelona reinforces its commitment to the growth of women’s scootering on the international urban sports stage, consolidating its place as a key fixture on the calendar.
