Breaking is a type of dance that is part of hip-hop culture, alongside graffiti, rap, and djing. This element was born in the African-American communities of New York neighborhoods like the Bronx and Brooklyn, in the United States, during the 1970s. In recent years, breaking reached its peak when it was named an Olympic discipline by the IOC, making its debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This milestone brought it into the spotlight after years of constant evolution, which is why the Urban Stage at Parc del F\u00f2rum will become the centerpiece for this spectacular, ever-growing discipline. The Barcelona event, one of the most iconic urban sports events in Europe, celebrates its 17th edition by once again supporting this dance style, which was an Olympic sport at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.<\/p>\n
